Odd Fellows Cemetery

All three of the images above are postcards of Odd Fellows cemetery. The first is from 1910, the second is the soldiers monument and is from 1917, and the last one is from 1906.
The Tamaqua Odd Fellows Lodge began in the year 1843. At one point it was one of the largest lodges in Pennsylvania. However, the cemetery itself was incorporated in 1865. The cemetery is the final resting place for many of Tamaqua’s most prominent citizens. One of the best parts of the cemetery is the Soldier's Circle with a Civil War monument which was put in the cemetery in 1870. Over 16,000 people are buried at the cemetery which has more than doubled the current population of Tamaqua (as of 2021 Tamaqua’s population was 6,932).
